Protein Synthesis 3D Explorer, Years 10–12

A 3D model of protein synthesis. Students watch RNA polymerase transcribe DNA into mRNA, follow the processed mRNA with its 5′ cap and poly-A tail to the ribosome, and see tRNAs deliver amino acids codon by codon as the ribosome moves along the mRNA and the polypeptide grows. The full interactive is available to licensed Education Universe users.
